The learning styles discussion forum really opened my eyes to the possibility that learning styles are more a myth and theory than a consideration that needs to be analyzed when developing learning strategies and lesson plans.
I personally am relieved at the idea that as instructors we should not attempt to cater to many of these potential learning styles in everything we do. It is simply unfathomable to consider that we would be able to meet the learning style needs of every person we face in the classroom.
It's even more validating that the PID program stopped teaching learning styles a few years ago.
